Graphene Oxide (GO) nanosheets: as active and recoverable catalysts for oxidation reaction of benzylamines

A simple and efficient method have been developed for the synthesis of benzamide derivatives from benzylamines in the presence the minute amount of graphene oxide (GO) obtained by Hummers oxidation of graphite as a highly efficient, recyclable acid catalyst. The catalyst could be recovered and reused for at least eight times without significant loss in activity
