چکیده مقاله:

Urbanization and the rapid expansion of built environments have placed increasing pressure on land resources, energy systems, and ecological sustainability. Buildings, as one of the primary consumers of energy and land resources, play a central role in shaping both environmental challenges and opportunities. This paper adopts a descriptive analytical approach to explore the interrelationship between buildings, environmental optimization, and sustainable land use planning. Drawing on theoretical and empirical insights from environmental studies, urban planning, and architectural design, the study highlights the critical need for integrating optimization strategies in the design and placement of buildings to reduce ecological footprints while enhancing urban efficiency. The discussion emphasizes how environmentally optimized buildings, when embedded in thoughtful land use planning frameworks, can address issues of resource scarcity, mitigate climate change impacts, and contribute to sustainable urban growth. The findings suggest that adopting a multidimensional approach encompassing green technologies, spatial planning tools, and energy-efficient construction can significantly strengthen the link between the built environment and environmental sustainability. The paper concludes with recommendations for policymakers, urban planners, and architects to advance integrated strategies that harmonize buildings and environment within the broader goals of sustainable development.
