International trade has historically served as a cornerstone of economic development and inter-country interactions. From the ancient trade routes to today's intricate global trade frameworks, this domain has consistently evolved under the influence of technological innovations and advancements. In recent decades, artificial intelligence has surfaced as a paramount catalyst for transformation within this arena. This article adopts an analytical and review-oriented methodology to explore the implications of artificial intelligence on international trade, juxtaposing historical trends with contemporary practices. By scrutinizing historical data, international reports, and case studies, the findings reveal that artificial intelligence has significantly accelerated decision-making, mitigated risks, optimized supply chains, and facilitated targeted marketing strategies. A comparative analysis of traditional and modern trading methods illustrates that, in the past, decision-making was predominantly reliant on experience and personal relationships; whereas today, data analysis and intelligent algorithms are at the forefront of trade practices. Ultimately, this article addresses the opportunities, challenges, and future trajectories associated with the integration of artificial intelligence in international trade. The conclusions indicate that the strategic application of AI serves not only as a catalyst for innovation but also as an essential instrument for enhancing competitiveness in the global marketplace.
