چکیده مقاله:

Smart public transport systems are reshaping the way cities move by using real-time data, IoT, and AI to make travel more efficient and accessible than traditional public transit. These systems allow for more flexible and responsive operations, offering features like live passenger updates, eco-friendly fleets, easy contactless payments, and smooth connections between different types of transport. Besides cutting down on traffic and pollution, they also help the economy by making operations more efficient and creating new jobs. They play a key role in promoting fairness too, by making transportation safer and more accessible for everyone. Of course, bringing these systems to life isn't without its challenges high costs, technical hurdles, cybersecurity risks, and complicated regulations all stand in the way. Still, smart public transport is seen as essential for building cities that are not only smart but also sustainable, resilient, and inclusive. This review looks closely at how smart transit is changing urban life, exploring the technologies behind it, the benefits it offers, and the obstacles cities face when adopting it. Drawing on research and real-world examples, it highlights what makes these systems successful and suggests policies to help more cities move toward smarter public transport, seeing it as a key part of the future of urban living.
