چکیده مقاله:

Thermally active geostructures, such as geothermal piles, are crucial for energy and sustainable development due to their dual structural and thermal functions. One of their most significant applications in the construction industry is for heating and cooling buildings. The thermal performance of energy piles is a critical topic influenced by various hydraulic and thermal parameters of the materials and environment. This research examines the thermal performance of a single geothermal pile using numerical modeling, considering the thermal parameters of the heat exchanger pipe, such as mass density, heat transfer coefficient, and specific heat capacity while accounting for the effects of natural convection, forced convection, and saturated layered soil. The results indicate that the heat transfer coefficient has the most significant and positive impact on the thermal performance of these piles. In contrast, the effects of mass density and specific heat capacity can be negligible. These results provide valuable insights for manufacturers and implementers in selecting appropriate materials for heat exchanger pipes.
