چکیده مقاله:

This study examines the effectiveness of various polymer modifiers including plastomers (PE, PP, EVA), elastomers (SBS, SBR, SEBS), and rubber (natural and crumb rubber) in enhancing asphalt binder performance. Plastomers improve high-temperature stability, aging resistance, and rutting resistance but offer limited elasticity. Elastomers enhance flexibility and crack resistance but may reduce long-term durability and are more costly. Crumb rubber improves fatigue resistance and sustainability but faces challenges in oxidation and dispersion. The review highlights the benefits and limitations of each polymer type, providing insights for optimizing asphalt mixtures based on climate conditions, traffic loads, and cost considerations.
