چکیده مقاله:

Introduction, rice is one of the most important staple food crops globally, second only to wheat, especially in developing countries. Given the rising global population, decreasing agricultural land, and increasing environmental pollution, particularly from the excessive use of chemical fertilizers, there is an urgent need for sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural solutions. Biostimulants represent a promising alternative for enhancing crop productivity with minimal ecological impact. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of two biostimulants, phenylalanine and cinnamic acid, on the quantitative traits of rice under field conditions. Materials and methods, foliar applications of cinnamic acid (۰, ۰.۵, ۱, and ۱.۵ g/L) and phenylalanine (۰, ۰.۲۵, ۰.۵, and ۱ g/L) were carried out on two local cultivars, 'Helal' and 'Keshvari', during the seed formation and filling stages. The experiment was designed as a randomized complete block with three replications. Measured traits included grain amylose content, panicle length, the number of filled and unfilled grains and ۱۰۰۰-seed weight. Results, the results demonstrated that phenylalanine significantly improved amylose content and reduced the number of unfilled grains in both cultivars. Cinnamic acid notably increased the number of filled grains in the ‘Keshvari' cultivar. Overall, phenylalanine exhibited a more pronounced positive effect on the evaluated quantitative traits.
