چکیده مقاله:
Hydrogels are materials that are characterized by their three-dimensional network structure and are composed of hydrophilic polymer chains. These materials, which are sensitive to environmental stimuli such as pH and temperature, have attracted attention in the fields of drug delivery and biomedicine. Among these materials, carboxymethyl cellulose-based hydrogels are of great use in this regard due to their biocompatibility, biodegradability, excellent water absorption ability, and responsiveness to environmental stimuli. This article reviews the structure, synthesis, and application of CMC-based hydrogels and their composites in targeted drug delivery. Also, the behavior of hydrogels in targeted drug delivery in acidic and alkaline environments has been discussed. Recent studies indicate that these hydrogels are effective in the treatment of cancer and digestive diseases, and by taking appropriate measures, the commercialization potential of these drug delivery systems can be evaluated.
