In light of the increasing prevalence of smart weapons and asymmetric warfare threats, this research explores the design of resilient architecture capable of withstanding such attacks while maintaining aesthetic value. The main objective of this study is to investigate how buildings can be fortified against small, smart, and cheap (SSC) weapons—including drones, AI-guided munitions, and cyber-physical attacks—without compromising urban beauty or social cohesion.The research employs a descriptive-analytical method, drawing on technical literature, case studies, and design principles to develop a comprehensive framework for smart weapon-resistant architecture.While a traditional statistical population is not defined due to the theoretical nature of this work, case-based qualitative analysis serves as a proxy, focusing on real-world applications and precedents in both military and civilian settings.Data collection is performed through document review and comparative analysis, with validity supported by cross-referenced sources from academia and industry. As this is a conceptual-technical study, formal tools like questionnaires are not applied.Data analysis involves thematic categorization of defense strategies, material technologies, and design methodologies, with emphasis on identifying synergies between functional resilience and visual integration.Findings confirm that traditional “hard” structures are insufficient against smart threats, which exploit precision, automation, and systemic vulnerabilities. Thus, multi-layered defense, including cyber-physical security, thermal/radar signature reduction, and adaptive materials, is essential. Furthermore, embedding protective elements into aesthetic forms—through landscape integration, passive security, or responsive facades—can enhance public acceptance and psychological wellbeing. Ethical concerns such as “invisible hostility” must also be addressed to ensure inclusivity.This research contributes to policy, urban planning, and architectural education by offering principles for designing buildings that resist emerging threats while supporting urban vitality and human dignity.
