چکیده مقاله:

Micromixers are microchannel apparatuses that facilitate efficient fluid amalgamation over a limited spatial extent and a defined flow trajectory. The phenomenon of induced-charge electroosmosis has attracted considerable interest from the microfluidics research community throughout the last decade. In this numerical investigation, an electroosmotically driven micromixer integrates two distinct fluids entering from separate inlets into a singular channel measuring ۱۰ μm in width. Subsequently, the fluids flow into a ring-shaped mixing chamber featuring four microelectrodes placed at the walls of the chamber. A sinusoidal electric potential with a maximum value of ۰.۱ V at a frequency of ۸ hertz is applied across the electrodes. For improving the efficiency of the micromixer, petal-shaped obstacles have been inserted inside the channel. The simulated results demonstrate that the proposed micromixer achieves a remarkable mixing efficiency approaching ۹۸% and holds promising applications across a variety of domains, including MEMS-based applications, microfluidics, and the biomedical sciences.
