چکیده مقاله:

The Dehnow anticline, a NW–SE trending salt-detached box fold in southern Iran, constitutes a structural trap and is considered a promising target for hydrocarbon exploration within the Zagros Fold and Thrust Belt, in the Fars sedimentary basin. Previous geophysical investigations, including seismic reflection, potential-field, and magnetotelluric surveys, have delineated its framework and indicated the presence of approximately ۱۱–۱۵ km of sediment overlying the Hormuz salt, which serves as a regional detachment horizon. In this study, we apply gravity data inversion with bound constraints, a depth-weighting function, and mixed 𝐿𝑝-norm regularization to improve the geological plausibility of the recovered models and more precisely characterize the anticline’s trap structure. The resulting density-contrast models are compared with a seismic reflection profile from the adjacent Lavarestan anticline, used as a reference, to assess which inversion configuration best corresponds to the independent seismic observation. The findings confirm a structurally valid trap above the Hormuz salt and highlight the potential of the Dehnow anticline as a viable drilling target.
