In recent decades, with the development and the advancement of technologies, the use of wireless sensor networks has become increasingly important in a variety of research and investigational applications, especially in autonomous underwater vehicles (robots). These are the main applications for underwater coverage. Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks operate in specific environmental conditions. Underwater sensor nodes should possess the self-organization capability; in other words, they should be able to exchange the movement, position, and configuration information. Moreover, they have to transmit the gathered data to the on shore station in a nodal manner. In this study, a clustering method, called path-sensitive clustering algorithm (PSCA), is applied to wireless sensor networks with autonomous underwater vehicles. It has been attempted by clustering the number of nodes in accordance with other methods, including: bar-balanced clustering with distributed self-organization and hybrid energy- efficacious distributed and weighted clustering algorithm, and by efficient utilization, the lifespan of the proposed network is extended and then by adding other effective parameters such as energy, the amount of power needed for clustering will be more efficient. In addition, the communication efficiency of the network for various numbers of nodes is improved considering the energy required for node clustering and data transmission
