چکیده مقاله:

The implementation of electric propulsion systems in vehicles is currently active, and much research and prototyping has been accomplished in this area. Aircraft are an important member of the vehicle family; DRONES are likewise a member of this family. Some DRONES are still equipped with conventional propulsion systems, which are inefficient and harmful to the environment. In addition, conventional systems are vulnerable to failure of propulsion system components. To overcome these problems, we designed a multiphase brushless direct current (BLDC) motor for fault-tolerant operation. The designed BLDC motor was implemented in a drone model created in MATLAB Simulink and ANSYS Maxwell based on a currently used drone; the design and performance analysis of the BLDC motor, both as a standalone unit and as implemented in a drone model, are presented. The performance of the electric propulsion system is illustrated according to the determined flight profile. It is verified that the designed electric machine is capable of producing the torque required to generate thrust to lift the drone. There are several advantages and disadvantages to using designed electrical machines in this class of drones. This is illustrated in the relevant section.
