چکیده مقاله:

Partial admission turbines typically operate to counteract fluctuations while maintaining high efficiency. However, partial admission itself leads to other losses that follow multiple parameters, including the geometric parameters of the turbine, which affect the flow distribution at the rotor's outlet and inlet. This paper addresses the simulation of a partial admission axial flow turbine, one of the types of modern axial flow turbines for converting the mechanical energy of water into electrical energy, in a turbine geometry including a rotor, a high-speed flow channel, and rotor blades. In this regard, by choosing the Eppler ۸۱۷ blade and placing it in three channels with ۶ blades in each channel, and simulating the aerodynamics of the channel and blades with Ansys Fluent software, it was possible to have a suitable analysis for the number and type of turbine components in terms of hydrodynamic forces. Based on the analysis of the hydrodynamic forces applied to the turbine in the simulation, such as the percentage increase in the pressure difference of the blades compared to their previous channels, it was observed that the difference between the first channel of the rotor blades and the third channel is ۲۵.۱۹%, and also the difference in the lift force of the first and third channels is ۶۰%. From this important point in the design, it was concluded that three channels and ۶ blades in each channel in two rows, each row containing three consecutive horizontal blades with a specific angle of attack, provide acceptable results in terms of hydrodynamic forces.
