چکیده مقاله:
Due to environmental concerns and the limited availability of fossil fuel resources, the use of renewable fuels, particularly biodiesel, has attracted significant attention. In this study, biodiesel was produced from waste cooking oil via the transesterification method and blended with diesel fuel in various proportions. The primary objective of this research was to examine the effect of these blended fuels on the performance of a diesel engine under different operating conditions. Tests were conducted on a single-cylinder diesel engine, and parameters such as output power, torque, specific fuel consumption, thermal efficiency, and exhaust gas temperature were measured. The results demonstrated that using biodiesel blended with diesel, especially at lower percentages ۲۰% had a positive impact on thermal efficiency and reduced fuel consumption, while causing a slight reduction in engine power and torque. Additionally, a notable decrease in pollutants such as carbon monoxide (CO) and unburned hydrocarbons (HC) was observed. These findings suggest that the use of biodiesel produced from household waste oils can be a suitable and sustainable option for reducing dependence on fossil fuels and enhancing the environmental performance of diesel engines.
