چکیده مقاله:

Recently, drug carriers based on nanoparticles have attracted much attention in the biomedical applications due to its efficient loading, controlled release and targeted delivery of drugs. In this study, CS-Fe۳O۴ nanoparticles were synthesized by coating chitosan onto the surface of iron oxide nanoparticles using an in situ coating method to serve as vehicles for the ibuprofen (IBU) molecule. The structural and morphological properties of the nanoparticles were characterized using various analytical techniques. The nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug ibuprofen was utilized to illustrate the ability of nanocarriers to deliver the drug in a controlled manner. Additionally, the drug loading efficiency and release behavior of the nanoparticles were investigated. This nanocarrier provided good drug loading efficiency over ۴۸ hours. The pH sensitivity of the nanocarrier was evaluated at two distinct pH levels (۷.۴ and ۵.۴) at a temperature of ۳۷ °C over a duration of ۷۲ hours. The release of ibuprofen from CS-Fe۳O۴ nanoparticles was enhanced at lower pH levels. The results showed that CS-Fe۳O۴ nanoparticles are suitable candidates as magnetic vehicles for ibuprofen in biomedical applications.
