چکیده مقاله:

As concerns about environmental pollution continue to rise, using nanotechnology for removing dyes and reducing harmful byproducts offers a smart and sustainable way to improve water quality. For these approaches to be truly effective and practical, the materials involved need to be easy to use, efficient, environmentally friendly, reusable, and affordable. This study introduces a porous magnetic nanocomposite coated with zinc oxide, synthesized through an eco-friendly approach utilizing plant leaf extract. This work reports the use of a chemometric approach to determine the optimal conditions for tartrazine dye removal. Furthermore, the interactions among various process parameters were systematically investigated. Verification of the successful synthesis of the nanocomposite was confirmed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating-sample magnetometry (VSM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). Additionally, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) provided further morphological evidence supporting the results. The nanocomposite’s performance in removing tartrazine dye from aqueous solutions was evaluated under optimized conditions. Impressively, a maximum decolorization efficiency of approximately ۹۸% was achieved using ۰.۰۷ g of the nanocomposite at ۹۰°C, near-neutral pH, within ۳۰ minutes. Moreover, reusability tests demonstrated that the nanocomposite maintained over ۹۰% efficiency across ۱۱ consecutive cycles, highlighting its stability and potential for repeated application.
