چکیده مقاله:

Sulfur is one of the most common impurities in crude oil. Removing sulfur from gas or liquid fuels is one of the most important tasks of the oil refining industry. This research focuses on the surface absorption phenomenon, which involves removing organic sulfur compounds from oil cuttings through physical and chemical processes. Natural Bentonite is being used in this study. To improve its efficiency, the Bentonite needs to be modified first. Pillared clay (PILC) significantly alters the surface properties. Furthermore, calcination activates the Bentonite. To achieve this, we first Pillared and then calcined it. In the next step, it was loaded with Cu۲+ and Ni۲+ metals. We examined various parameters of the removal process and used experimental design methods to determine the optimal reaction conditions. Various parameters were the metals loading, reaction time, temperature, concentration, and pH. Moreover, different absorption techniques, such as Freundlich and Langmuir methods were studied.
