چکیده مقاله:
The purpose of this research was to determine the performance status of Iranian male and female language learners in listening, speaking, reading and writing. The research method was descriptive-survey. The statistical population included all language learners of Alborz province in ۲۰۲۳-۲۰۲۴ and ۱۹۵ language learners of Karaj city were selected as a statistical sample using stratified random sampling. The Oxford OPT level test was used to determine the listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities of Iranian male and female language learners. Data analysis was done using SPSS statistical software and one-way analysis of variance test. The research findings showed that there was a significant difference between male and female language learners in terms of listening ability (p<۰.۰۵; F=۳۶.۳۱). There was a significant difference between male and female language learners in terms of speaking ability (p<۰.۰۵; F=۲۴.۴۶). There was a significant difference between male and female language learners in terms of reading ability (p<۰.۰۵; F=۱۷.۱۸). There was a significant difference between male and female language learners in terms of writing ability (p<۰.۰۵; F=۳۰/۷۸). Reading and listening are the two main inputs to the language learning system, so by strengthening reading, other language skills are also improved.
