چکیده مقاله:
Patellofemoral pain syndrome is a pain in the front of the knee, around the kneecap (patella) that affects children, teenagers and adults and can occur in one or both knees. Patellofemoral syndrome is also called 'runner's knee' because it is more common in people who participate in sports that involve running and jumping. The best treatment for patellofemoral pain syndrome is based on various factors, including age, general health, and pain intensity. Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is a painful knee disease that mostly affects young and physically active people. This disease is characterized by pain in front of the knee or behind the patellar bone (knee capsule). It has been shown that this disease may be caused by a disturbance in the alignment of the knee capsule during knee movements. To help with this problem, some physical therapists prescribe knee braces or braces (called 'orthoses') in the belief that orthoses correct structural abnormalities, or people may make them themselves. The purpose of this study was to find out that wearing knee orthosis in people suffering from anterior knee pain reduces pain and improves performance and increases the ability to perform daily activities and exercise. Also, the aim of this research was to show whether there are side effects such as skin problems related to the use of orthosis. Another aim of this study was to determine the best type of knee orthosis and to obtain information about whether knee orthosis is better than other interventions such as exercise.
