چکیده مقاله:

This study aimed to investigate the impact of anxiety on sleep quality and executive function in children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Using a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach, we examined the direct and indirect relationships between anxiety, sleep quality, and executive function. Data were collected from ۱۵۰ children diagnosed with ADHD, employing standardized questionnaires measuring anxiety, sleep disturbances, and cognitive functions. The results showed that anxiety had a significant direct effect on sleep quality (ẞ = ۰.۴۸, p < ۰.۰۰۱) and a direct effect on executive function (ẞ = ۰.۲۱, p = ۰.۰۰۵). Moreover, sleep quality mediated the relationship between anxiety and executive function, highlighting its role as a critical intervening variable. This study underscores the importance of addressing sleep disturbances in children with ADHD, particularly in those with comorbid anxiety, to improve cognitive outcomes.
