This paper provides a thorough review of contemporary techniques used in the analysis of movement mechanics and performance in sports, focusing on video and biomechanical approaches. As sports science continues to evolve, the integration of advanced video analysis and biomechanical assessments has become crucial for optimizing athletic performance and minimizing injury risks. We examine recent developments in video-based motion tracking, biomechanical modeling, and their applications across various sports disciplines. Key topics include the use of high-speed cameras for detailed movement analysis, biomechanical modeling to simulate and predict athletic performance, and the impact of these technologies on improving training methods and techniques.
