چکیده مقاله:
Urban environments face increasing challenges due to climate change, including rising temperatures and altered precipitation patterns, leading to water scarcity. Selecting and implementing water-scarce tree species is crucial for building resilient urban forests. This article examines the characteristics of drought-tolerant trees, their adaptation strategies, and their suitability for urban landscapes. It explores the benefits of these species, including reduced irrigation needs, improved air quality, and enhanced biodiversity, while also addressing challenges related to soil compaction, pollution, and heat island effects. By highlighting successful case studies and providing practical recommendations, this article aims to inform urban planners and landscape architects about the vital role of water-scarce trees in creating sustainable and livable cities.
