چکیده مقاله:

Health equity, defined as the attainment of the highest possible standard of health for all individuals, remains a global challenge—particularly for vulnerable populations. Artificial intelligence (AI), with its advanced tools, holds significant potential to reduce health disparities. Nurses, as the largest group of healthcare providers, play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and evaluation of these technologies to ensure their use is ethical, practical, and aligned with the real needs of patients. This narrative review aims to explore the role of nursing in promoting health equity through the integration of AI. By reviewing scholarly literature published between ۲۰۱۹ and ۲۰۲۵, the study examines the collaboration between nurses and AI developers, existing barriers, and ethical challenges such as algorithmic bias, digital illiteracy, and data privacy. Despite the promising capabilities of AI, there are persistent limitations, including inadequate infrastructure, unequal access, and insufficient training. Achieving health equity requires interdisciplinary collaboration, targeted education for nurses, and the development of fair and transparent algorithms. Ultimately, nurses can play a critical role in ensuring the responsible and equitable application of intelligent technologies in healthcare systems.
