چکیده مقاله:

Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are increasingly integrated into nursing and midwifery practices, offering promising advancements in patient care, clinical decision support, and workflow optimization. This systematic review synthesizes evidence from eight high-quality randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and cohort studies published between ۲۰۲۰ and ۲۰۲۵, investigating the efficacy and impact of AI-based interventions in these fields. The selected studies demonstrate that AI applications significantly improve diagnostic accuracy, patient monitoring, and personalized care plans, leading to enhanced maternal and neonatal outcomes as well as better management of chronic conditions in nursing care. Statistical analyses reveal notable improvements in clinical decision-making efficiency (p < ۰.۰۱) and reductions in adverse events (OR range ۰.۶۵–۰.۷۸). Furthermore, AI tools such as predictive algorithms and decision support systems facilitated timely interventions and reduced healthcare staff workload. The findings corroborate previous research highlighting AI’s potential to transform healthcare delivery by augmenting human expertise. Despite challenges related to data privacy, user training, and integration barriers, the overall benefits underscore the necessity for broader adoption and further rigorous trials. This review advocates for multidisciplinary collaboration to optimize AI deployment in nursing and midwifery, ultimately improving patient safety and healthcare quality.
