چکیده مقاله:

The authors of this study aimed to analyze the female and male discourse of writers in literary texts using Norman Fairclough's framework of Critical Discourse Analysis (۲۰۱۰). They sought to examine and analyze the authors' modes of expression. This analysis consists of three levels: description, interpretation, and explanation. In this study, a female writer, Margaret Atwood, and her English book The Handmaid's Tale, as well as a male writer, Khaled Hosseini, and his English book And the Mountains Echoed, were examined. The sampling method was purposive text selection, and the research method was descriptive-analytical. The results of the study indicated that gender does not significantly impact the shaping of power discourse. Rather, the textual components used by the two authors, such as vocabulary, point of view, and personal style, led to different discourses and, ultimately, differences in the power discourse within their works. This distinction was influenced by extratextual factors such as ideology and culture.
