چکیده مقاله:
In the age of globalization and migration, multicultural and multilingual societies are becoming increasingly common. However, with this diversity comes the challenge of cultural misunderstandings, communication barriers, and social fragmentation. Translation serves as a crucial mechanism for bridging these cultural gaps, facilitating understanding and dialogue across linguistic boundaries. This study explores the role of translation—both human and digital in reducing cultural divides in multilingual societies. It examines how digital translation tools, including machine translation systems, computer-assisted translation (CAT) platforms, and AI-based applications, have transformed the way translation is practiced and perceived in intercultural contexts. By conducting a review of recent literature and analyzing case studies from multilingual communities, the study identifies both the strengths and limitations of using digital tools in culturally sensitive translation. While digital platforms offer speed, accessibility, and cost-efficiency, they often fail to grasp the deeper cultural meanings and emotional subtleties embedded in language. The findings suggest that a hybrid model-integrating human expertise with advanced digital tools-provides the most effective approach to culturally accurate communication. This paper concludes by emphasizing the importance of culturally aware translation strategies in promoting inclusion, social cohesion, and mutual understanding in today's linguistically diverse world.
