Producing process of irgafos168 as an antioxidant in polyolefines

Irgafos 168 is the most important antioxidant of polyolefines that is used stabilize them against degradation as the second antioxidant..By regarding the of establishment of petrochemical complex in assalooyeh , it is estimated that the consumption of irgafos will reach to 10,000 tones per year approximately.The present paper describes how to produce this compound in pilot scale from the reaction of 2,4-di-terthbutylphenol with phosphorous trichloride in ethylene dichloride at controlled condition
