چکیده مقاله:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing sustainability consulting by providing powerful tools to address pressing environmental and social challenges in an era of intensifying climate change and regulatory demands. AI enables precise environmental risk assessments, optimizes resource use, and informs strategic decision-making across industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, finance, healthcare, and energy. Technologies like predictive maintenance, precision agriculture, and smart grid optimization are driving measurable sustainability outcomes, reducing emissions, and enhancing efficiency. By integrating machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, consultants can analyze vast datasets to uncover patterns, predict risks, and design scalable strategies that align with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks like the EU Taxonomy and TCFD. This paper explores these applications through real-world case studies, such as AI-powered urban planning in Singapore, which fosters greener, more livable cities by optimizing traffic and energy systems. However, AI’s transformative potential is accompanied by significant ethical and operational challenges that must be addressed to ensure alignment with sustainability principles. Issues such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, transparency, and the risk of greenwashing threaten stakeholder trust and the credibility of AI-driven insights. The energy-intensive nature of AI, with large models emitting up to ۱,۰۰۰ tons of CO۲ during training, underscores the need for “Green AI” practices powered by renewable energy (Stanford AI Index Report, ۲۰۲۴). This paper examines these challenges and proposes strategies for responsible AI deployment, emphasizing fairness, accountability, and inclusivity. It also investigates AI’s role in advancing circular economies, supply chain transparency, climate risk management, and social equity.
