چکیده مقاله:
Eco-benign synthesis of Manganese Oxide Nanoparticles from a Sodium hydroxide solution was achieved using Ziziphus oenopolia leaf extract as a bio-reductant. The bio-fabricated nanostructures exhibit the characteristic SPR bands, which confirm the formation of Manganese Oxide Np’s. The powder X-ray diffraction studies reveal a tetragonal phase. The SEM analysis revealed the unique spherical morphologies of Manganese oxide nanoparticles. The respective EDX spectra authenticate the elemental composition with high-intense metallic Manganese and low-intense oxygen peaks. Further, the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue dye was carried out using Manganese oxide nanoparticles. Using these metal oxide nanoparticles as a photo catalyst, methylene blue (MB) dye is broken down in an aqueous medium when exposed to sunshine. This study examined the effects such as time, pH, concentration, and catalyst dosage. Manganese oxide nanoparticle demonstrated the high photocatalytic degradation, at ۶۰mins ۹۰% of the dye was degraded. In the effect of concentration dye was degraded at ۱۰ ppm; the degradation diminishes as the dye concentration rises. The photocatalytic degradation was performed at pH values of ۵, ۷, and ۹. At pH ۹, the degradation percentage was ۹۱, which shows a good result. When the catalyst dosage was increased from ۰.۰۰۵ to ۰.۰۱۳, the degradation percentage was high (۹۱%). Finally the photocatalytic degradation confirms the good photocatalytic activity for the synthesized Manganese oxide nanoparticle.
