Rereading the new theory of “Crisis Plus One”: In the context of social psychoanalysis of the Iranian nation

This article rereads Hamidreza Safari’s theory of “Crisis Plus One” with a new and interdisciplinary approach, in the context of social psychoanalysis of the “Iranian nation”. The main goal is not simply to use metaphors of physics and mathematics, but to fundamentally reconstruct imported social sciences through new analytical and interdisciplinary tools such as general systems theory, black holes, singularities, Hawking radiation, and Riemann surfaces. By introducing the concept of the “constitutional black hole” as the starting point of the vicious cycle of underdevelopment and the “constitutional trauma” as a collective trauma, it analyzes its destructive effects on the “soul (development and evolution)” and “body (growth)” of society. This innovative framework seeks to identify the root causes of individual and collective psychological characteristics (including chronic indifference, opportunism, short-term selfishness, and authoritarianism) that not only fuel the production and perpetuation of the “crisis plus one” but also provide the basis for “concept washing,” i.e., filling imported concepts (e.g., democracy) with opportunistic examples. In other words, why are the institutions that should be created to meet the needs of society’s development destroyed by the incorrect interaction of the ruling political system and society, or rather, the nation, and not given the opportunity to form? Here, the reason for the lack of formation becomes more important than the lack of formation, as stated in the opinions of Robinson and Acemoglu. The separation of “concept” from “verb” has not only led to the exploitation of national interests, but has also led society towards “collective psychosis.” By raising fundamental questions and assumptions, the article seeks to provide innovative solutions to break the “social freeze” and the vicious cycles of underdevelopment, focusing on the psychological transformation of the Iranian nation.
