چکیده مقاله:
The use of fiber reinforcement in concrete has gained significant attention due to its ability to improve various mechanical properties, such as tensile strength, compressive strength, impact resistance, and durability. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of the application of different types of fibers in concrete, including steel fibers, polypropylene fibers, recycled fibers, and natural fibers. Each fiber type brings unique benefits and challenges, influencing the overall performance of the concrete matrix in different ways. Steel fibers are known for enhancing tensile strength and toughness, while polypropylene fibers contribute to crack resistance and flexibility. Recycled fibers offer a sustainable alternative by repurposing waste materials, and natural fibers, such as cellulose, provide eco-friendly options with minimal environmental impact. The review systematically explores experimental results from various studies, focusing on fiber-matrix interactions, fiber dosage, and their effects on key performance indicators. A detailed comparison of these fiber types, along with their optimal usage in specific construction scenarios, is presented. Furthermore, the review highlights the gaps in current research and suggests areas for future exploration to further enhance fiber-reinforced concrete technologies. This paper aims to provide an essential resource for researchers and engineers seeking to optimize the use of fibers in sustainable and high-performance concrete applications.
