چکیده مقاله:
Infertility is a reproductive health problem worldwide that affects ۱۵-۲۵% of couples in their reproductive years. Infertility is associated with anxiety, stress, and sexual problems. Infertility and the failure to meet this need have many social, biological, economic, and psychological effects that lead to crises and periods of depression and anxiety. Although the role of psychological issues as an etiological factor of infertility is controversial, it is certain that endogenous and lifestyle variables play an important role in causing infertility, and on the other hand, self-doubt can cause different psychological reactions such as depression in the individual. The aim of this study is to investigate the role of depressive disorders in infertile women. The method of this study is a review. Conclusion: Given that the history of treatment failure and the duration of infertility are among the factors that affect the severity of anxiety. Therefore, this group of women should be given special attention in terms of psychological support from the very beginning of infertility diagnosis, before the start of the treatment cycle, during and after pregnancy.
