چکیده مقاله:

Upon hydration, liposomes emerge from the self-assembling lipid bilayer; liposomal medications play a role in enhancing therapy through robust drug delivery. Liposome formulations help to increase accumulation at the target site and reduce toxicity. Novel methods for liposome preparation that rely on the liposome’s structural components or lipid-mediated interactions. Similarly, limit the liposome's rapid release by reducing the molecules' size, charge, or surface hydration. Physical, material, and biological factors are used to characterize the liposomes. A few drug types, such as antimicrobial, antiviral, antibody-based, anti-tubercular, antifungal, and high-potency therapies, are more secure and effective when organized using this pharmaceutical approach. Liposomes are utilized in immunology, tumour treatment, antibody adjuvants, ocular conditions, brain targeting, infectious diseases, and dermatology. Specifically targeting features of a liposomal drug carrier to target-specific cells, such as tumour cells, and distinct locations in the body are new advancements in this field. For instance, specialized liposomes serve as carriers for macrophages that engulf hydrophilic (water-soluble) substances.
