چکیده مقاله:

Destruction of the surface layers of metals as a result of the simultaneous activity of wear and corrosion is known as the phenomenon of tribocorrosion, which is observed in many engineering applications. Evaluating and providing a suitable solution to control this phenomenon requires understanding the mutual effects of wear and corrosion on each other. In this regard, the effect of the electrochemical and frictional behavior of the surface on simple carbon steel AISI ۱۰۴۵ and stainless steel ۳۰۴L was studied in a solution of ۳.۵ wt. % of sodium chloride. For this purpose, the potentiodynamic polarization test was carried out in uni-directional sliding conditions using a pin-on-disk tribometer connected to a potentiostat in a wide range of potential. The frictional transformation was determined in the range of different potentials and the effect of friction on the cathodic and anodic branches of the polarization diagram was determined. The results showed that there are different interactions between electrochemical and frictional activities at different potentials for active and passive steel alloys. The results will be discussed in detail.
