چکیده مقاله:
Background and Aim: Heart disease is a multifaceted clinical syndrome characterized by functional or structural defects that impair daily activities, this study highlights the importance of targeted lifestyle adjustments to enhance patient outcomes.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in ۲۰۲۲, involving ۶۶۰ patients with cardiovascular disease aged ۳۰ to ۶۰ years from comprehensive health service centers in Kashan City, Iran. A simple random sampling method was employed, and data were extracted from electronic patient files. SPSS software, version ۲۱ was used to analyze the data using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, and chi-square tests.
Results: The study found that total cholesterol levels were significantly higher in middle-aged women than in men (P<۰.۰۵), while smokers exhibited lower total cholesterol levels than non-smokers (P<۰.۰۵). Higher fasting blood sugar levels were observed in patients with unfavorable physical activity and a larger waist circumference (both P<۰.۰۱). Patients aged >۵۰ years had elevated fasting blood sugar and total cholesterol levels compared to younger age groups (both P<۰.۰۱).
Conclusion: These results highlight the crucial connection between lifestyle factors and cardiovascular health, advocating for personalized interventions that incorporate smoking cessation, dietary modifications, and regular physical activity tailored to middle-aged patients.
This study underscores the substantial impact of lifestyle choices on cardiovascular health, indicating that increased awareness and targeted interventions can improve disease management and overall quality of life.
