چکیده مقاله:

This study investigates the effects of the polymeric chain extenders Joncryl and maleic anhydride on the mechanical properties of recycled polyamide ۶ (PA۶) derived from used fishing nets. PA۶, known for its high mechanical strength, suitable thermal resistance, and chemical stability, is one of the most widely used engineering polymers. However, prolonged use leads to chain degradation, a reduction in molecular weight, and a decline in its mechanical properties. In this research, recycled PA۶ was modified through reactive extrusion with the addition of chain extenders, then mechanical tests were performed, and the tensile strength, impact strength, and elongation at break of extended recycled polyamide ۶ were investigated. The results revealed that these modifications significantly enhanced molecular weight, chain entanglement, tensile strength, and toughness. Furthermore, utilizing these recycled materials as a base resin for industrial and marine protective coatings is an effective step toward recycling marine polymer waste, reducing environmental pollution, and promoting sustainable economics.
