چکیده مقاله:
Polyurethane bioadhesives have recently been used by scientists to replace sutures for wound closure, and Due to blood loss prevention, rapid wound closure, and easy to use reducing their curing time is one of the important challenges. Bioadhesives are divided into two groups: synthetic and natural. Although natural bioadhesives have high biocompatibility and very low toxicity, they have poor adhesion strength. Therefore, the use of natural resources in synthetic bioadhesives is one of the topics of interest to researchers. In this study, UV-cured polyurethane bioadhesives based on polyethylene glycol (PEG) and hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) and were prepared and the effect of adding castor oil as a soft segment on the properties of polyurethane bioadhesives was investigated. The chemical structure of the bioadhesives was investigated by FTIR analysis, and the adhesion strength was evaluated by tensile shear testing. The toxicity of the prepared samples was also investigated by MTT assay.
