چکیده مقاله:

The burgeoning growth of industries such as food processing, textiles, printing, and pharmaceuticals has underscored the critical need for identifying and separating organic pollutants from water and wastewater systems. Annually, over ۷۰۰,۰۰۰ tons of dyes are utilized. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are among the widely used adsorbents for separating organic pollutants. The advantages of this type of polymeric adsorbent include ease of production, chemical stability across a wide pH range, and reusability. This paper focuses on the synthesis of magnetic nanoadsorbents for the selective separation of cationic dyes from wastewater. Polymeric nanoadsorbents were fabricated by surface polymerization of modified magnetite nanoparticles. The obtained nanoadsorbents could effectively clear the dye solution by reducing the absorbance from ۰.۹۲ to ۰.۰۷. The selectivity of the adsorbent was then assessed by using an anionic dye solution, and no evidence of adsorption was recorded in this case, confirming that the adsorbents are a promising candidate for cationic dye removal.
