چکیده مقاله:

Environmental pollution, driven by inorganic contaminants such as heavy metal ions and organic dyes from industrial effluents, poses a significant threat to ecosystems and human health due to their persistence and toxicity. Among various technologies, adsorption stands out for its cost-effectiveness and operational simplicity, though traditional adsorbents like zeolites and activated carbon often exhibit limited capacity and slow kinetics. This study explores the application of magnetic metal-organic frameworks (MMOFs), specifically Fe۳O۴@UiO-۶۶-NH۲, for the efficient removal of dye pollutants from aqueous solutions. The tunable porosity and high surface area of MOFs, combined with the magnetic separability imparted by Fe۳O۴ nanoparticles, offer a promising solution to overcome the limitations of conventional adsorbents. UiO-۶۶-NH۲ was synthesized by a facile solvothermal approach. The process was validated by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy showing characteristic peaks of amine groups and Fe-O bonds. The obtained MMOFs where employed for further applications in wastewater treatments, with enhanced adsorption capacity and facile magnetic separation.
