چکیده مقاله:
Fossil fuel consumption has led to an increase in greenhouse gases, particularly carbon dioxide. The capture and storage of carbon dioxide is one strategy to slow down global warming. The high and adjustable surface area, suitable thermal/mechanical properties, low density, high physicochemical stability, rapid kinetics, strength, and high adsorption capacity of porous polymeric materials make them ideal for CO۲ capture among the different kinds of carbon dioxide adsorbents. Porous polymers, including hyper-cross-linked polymers (HCPs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), porous organic polymers (POPS), conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs), and triazine-based covalent frameworks (CTFs), demonstrate CO۲ adsorption capacities ranging from about ۳ to ۶ mmol/g at a temperature of ۲۷۳ K and a pressure of ۱ bar. Each polymer presents distinct characteristics and challenges related to the CO۲ adsorption process. The findings of this research suggest that these polymers can serve as effective and sustainable means for capturing carbon dioxide and mitigating greenhouse effects.
