چکیده مقاله:

This study presents a green and efficient approach for synthesizing UV-curable polysulfide polymer using microwave irradiation. Unlike conventional heating methods, microwave energy enables rapid and uniform heating, leading to accelerated reaction rates and reduced processing time. In this research, epoxy polysulfide polymer was reacted with acrylic acid and a triphenylphosphine catalyst under controlled microwave conditions. The reaction progress was monitored by FTIR spectroscopy, confirming the formation of ester bonds and terminal carbon-carbon double bonds. The results showed that a minimum irradiation time of ۶۰ seconds was required to achieve proper synthesis with an acid number below ۲. Microwave-assisted polymerization not only enhances reaction efficiency but also reduces energy consumption and solvent usage, making it an environmentally friendly alternative. This technique offers advantages such as improved polymer quality, fewer side reactions, and scalability for industrial applications. The findings highlight the potential of microwave irradiation as a sustainable tool for polymer synthesis, contributing to advancements in green chemistry and materials science.
