Synthesis and Modification of Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer: Monomer-to-Macromonomer Ratio

This study investigates the ratio of monomer to macromonomer using methyl allyl polyethylene glycol (HPEG) and acrylic acid (AA). Three types of superplasticizers were synthesized through a redox initiator system with ۲, ۴, and ۶ ratios. The results of the experiments indicate that increasing the monomer-to-macromonomer ratio up to ۴ enhances fluidity. These findings could contribute to developing more efficient superplasticizers for use in the construction industry.
