چکیده مقاله:

The present study aimed to compare the effects of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Continuous Aerobic Training (CAT) on aerobic and anaerobic recovery capacity in trained endurance athletes. In this semi-experimental design, ۳۰ female endurance athletes (aged ۲۰–۲۵) were randomly assigned to either the HIIT group or the CAT group. Each group trained three times a week for eight weeks under protocol-specific supervision. Aerobic recovery was assessed via heart rate recovery (HRR), while anaerobic recovery was measured using post-exercise blood lactate levels. Both training modalities resulted in significant improvements in recovery indices (p < ۰.۰۵), but the HIIT group exhibited superior improvements in anaerobic recovery (p < ۰.۰۱). These findings suggest that HIIT may be more effective than continuous training in enhancing post-exercise recovery in endurance athletes and can be strategically implemented to optimize recovery between high-intensity training sessions.
