چکیده مقاله:

This study explores water security in the agricultural sector using the DPS IR model (Driving forces, Pressures, States, Impacts, and Responses). Through a comprehensive analysis based on library studies and a review of internet resources, the article aims to present a logical and cohesive understanding of water security issues. The DPSIR model is employed as a conceptual framework, offering a holistic view of the complex system. The application of the DPSIR model provides valuable insights into the dynamics of water security in agriculture. Driving forces identified, encompassing natural and hydrological conditions, economic and social activities, population growth, urbanization, climate, and agricultural practices, significantly influence the state of water security. The analysis of water quantity and quality status reveals notable challenges, including issues related to water scarcity, floods, absolute access to water resources, annual variability, and spatial distribution of water. Economic and social activities contribute to undesirable economic conditions, inappropriate management systems, and deficiencies in social resources.
