چکیده مقاله:

Parent education programs play a pivotal role in shaping the quality of parent-student interactions, which ultimately have significant effects on students’ academic achievement. Research consistently highlights the impact of positive and supportive parental involvement on student motivation, behavior, and performance within educational settings. As schools and educators increasingly recognize the importance of family engagement in fostering a conducive learning environment, parent education programs have emerged as vital tools for bridging the gap between parents and effective involvement in their child’s academic and emotional development. These programs aim to equip parents with practical skills, knowledge, and strategies to enhance communication, provide emotional and academic support, and develop constructive interaction patterns with their children. Consequently, students benefit from increased motivation, higher grades, improved behavior, and greater aspirations for advanced education and careers. Such programs not only improve academic outcomes but also strengthen the emotional bond between parents and students, fostering mutual trust and respect. Additionally, they empower parents to better understand educational systems and collaborate more effectively with teachers and schools. Parent education programs are particularly significant in addressing educational disparities among students from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Parents from underserved communities often face unique challenges, such as limited access to resources or time constraints, and targeted programs can serve as a bridge to overcome these barriers. Furthermore, the integration of digital tools and virtual learning platforms into parent education offers new opportunities to make these initiatives more accessible and inclusive. By tailoring these programs to the specific needs of different families, schools can maximize their impact and create long-lasting positive outcomes. This study utilizes a library-based review methodology to investigate the theoretical frameworks underpinning parent education initiatives, analyze existing program models, and synthesize empirical findings regarding their impact on academic performance. In addition to identifying challenges in implementing these programs, recommendations for developing culturally sensitive, accessible, and impactful parent education systems are presented. By addressing the barriers to implementation and tailoring the programs to diverse family needs, this study highlights their transformative potential to benefit both children and parents. Ultimately, enhancing parental involvement through education programs contributes to a more holistic, inclusive, and supportive educational ecosystem.
