Strategic Analysis of Iran's Steel Industry Using the SWOT Model: Challenges and Opportunities for Sustainable Development

The steel industry, as a foundational and strategic industry, plays a pivotal role in the economic and industrial development of nations. In Iran, this industry, with its significant capacities, holds a substantial share in the gross domestic product, job creation, and meeting the needs of downstream industries. This article conducts a strategic analysis of Iran's steel industry using the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis model. The aim of this research is to identify key internal and external factors influencing the industry's performance and to propose strategies for addressing challenges and capitalizing on opportunities to achieve sustainable development. The findings of this analysis provide valuable insights for policymakers, managers, and stakeholders in Iran's steel industry.
