چکیده مقاله:
This article investigates the effect of the S and N poles of the magnetic field of a magnet on the growth and germination rate of lentil seeds. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design with three replications on lentil seeds in the research greenhouse of Pazhuheshkade Moallem Fars, during the winter of ۱۴۰۳. For this purpose, lentil seeds were exposed to different magnetic poles with varying intensities, and their germination rate, growth rate, and other growth parameters were examined. The results show that the treated seeds show a significant increase. In other words, magnetic fields can have positive effects on the growth and germination of lentil seeds. These effects depend on the intensity and duration of the magnetic field application. In a weak field of approximately ۱۰۰ Gauss, the highest germination and growth rates are observed in the N-S sample, followed by the S-S and N-N samples, respectively, and finally in the control sample. In the case of a strong magnetic field caused by a neodymium magnet with an intensity of ۳۹,۰۰۰ Gauss, which was performed only for the two poles S and N and the control sample, the highest growth rate was related to the sample affected by the S pole. The N-pole magnet sample and the control sample were far behind. Overall, the results of our research show that magnetic fields can be used as a stimulating factor to improve the growth and germination of lentil seeds. The higher the magnetic field intensity, the greater the plant growth rate. In addition, the results show that the S pole magnet has a much greater effect on plant growth and germination.
