چکیده مقاله:

Crisis management is essential for maintaining the sustainability and profitability of the hospitality industry, particularly during disruptions like natural disasters, pandemics, and political instability. This paper investigates the effectiveness of crisis management strategies employed by Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) and hotel operators in sustaining hotel profitability during crises. The study examines key strategies such as preparedness, communication, recovery efforts, and stakeholder collaboration, analyzing their direct impact on hotel financial performance during and after a crisis. Drawing on case studies of destinations impacted by crises, such as the ۲۰۰۴ Indian Ocean Tsunami, the COVID-۱۹ pandemic, and other significant global events, the paper identifies best practices in crisis response. The findings reveal that proactive and well coordinated crisis management strategies significantly reduce financial losses, restore guest confidence, and expedite recovery. Destinations with strong crisis preparedness plans, effective communication, and collaboration between DMOs, hotels, and local stakeholders were better positioned to mitigate financial impact and sustain profitability. Furthermore, the research emphasizes the importance of flexibility, such as offering flexible booking policies, local tourism promotion, and maintaining operational continuity during crises. The study concludes with recommendations for DMOs and hotel operators to enhance their crisis preparedness and response to ensure long-term profitability and destination resilience.
