چکیده مقاله:
Bio-based nanocomposite films have emerged as promising materials for active food packaging and drug delivery applications due to their biodegradability, biocompatibility, and enhanced mechanical and barrier properties. This study focuses on the fabrication of nanocomposite films using natural polymers (e.g., chitosan, starch, or cellulose) reinforced with nanoparticles (e.g., clay, silver, or zinc oxide) to improve mechanical strength, flexibility, and functionality. The films were prepared via solvent casting or extrusion methods, and their mechanical properties, including tensile strength, elongation at break, and Young’s modulus, were systematically evaluated. Additionally, the influence of nanoparticle type, concentration, and dispersion on the films’ performance was investigated. The results demonstrated that the incorporation of nanoparticles significantly enhanced the mechanical properties of the bio-based films, making them suitable for demanding applications such as food packaging and controlled drug release. The films also exhibited improved barrier properties against moisture and oxygen, which are critical for extending the shelf life of perishable goods. Furthermore, the nanocomposite films showed potential for active packaging by incorporating antimicrobial or antioxidant agents. This study provides valuable insights into the design and optimization of bio-based nanocomposite films for sustainable and high-performance applications in food packaging and drug delivery systems.
